Bathroom Design

Bathrooms are one of the more intimate rooms in your home.  Think comfort.  Your bathroom is the place where you retreat from daily stress.  Making the bathroom a place of retreat is one of today's most popular and important home remodeling projects.  As homeowners, going through tough economic times, we tent to spend more money on our home, making it a more secure and comfortable environment.

When it comes to bathroom remodeling, homeowners are far more interested in expressing their individuality and sense of style than they are in following current bathroom design or decorating trends.  If you've been thinking about designing a new bathroom for a while now, you may have bought decorating magazines and possibly a book on bathroom ideas.  But glossy pictures and showroom glitz are hard to imagine in your own bathroom, and there is so much you imagine doing in this limited space!  We are here to assist you with this daunting, yet exciting project.

To make the bathroom a personal retreat, many of our customers are expanding the size of bathrooms and adding whirlpools and more decorative fixtures.  The bathroom is becoming more of a centerpiece in the home with design trends ranging from the bold and colorful to the simple and elegant.  As you consider remodeling your bathroom, you'll need to consider the following important items:

Bathroom Size:  The number one bathroom design trend among our customers is making the room larger.  Homeowners are knocking out walls to make the current bathroom more functional and comfortable.  Today bathrooms need to be big enough to accommodate everything you want to include such as bathroom furniture, a separate shower or a unique bathtub.

A Recliner in the Bath:  Today's bathrooms are equipped with more than just the traditional bath and sink.  As we see customers increase the size of their bathrooms, they are experimenting with armoires for storage, music or television and chaise lounges for reading and relaxing.  Even vintage furniture is making a splash in the bathroom.

Adding a Little Color to Your Bathroom:  Although white is still the most popular fixture color according to most customers, many people are looking for other colors that will remain timeless.  You should choose a color that suits your personality and we'll help you explore the natural color options.

These are just a few of the things that Lindsay and our Jarboe's staff can assist you with in designing or remodeling your bathroom.  It's better to get expert advice ahead of time, instead of after a project has gone horribly wrong.  Just call or email Jarboe's and we'll get started.
