2012 Federal Energy Tax Credits

The federal tax credit for Consuer Energy Efficiency is 30% of cost with no upper limit. The tax credit applies to existing homes and new construction. Both principal residence and second homes qualify. Rentals to not qualify. The credit applies to Geothermal Heat Pumps, Small Wind Turbines (residential) and Solar Energy Systems! The credit expires December 31, 2016. The Tax Credit includes installation costs.
